Purchasing Manager

The Purchasing Manager is responsible for implementing and executing the Company’s strategic purchasing initiatives.  This individual must possess significant supplier management and strategic purchasing experience and reports directly to the CEO. Domestic travel, the ability to creatively solve problems, knowledge of commodity markets and how they influence raw material costs, and the ability to act proactively to identify cost savings opportunities are all prerequisites of this position.  This individual must be able to work cooperatively with a number of internal stakeholder departments including Production, Quality Assurance/Management, R&D, Supply Chain, and Finance. Strong relationship management skills, organizational and excel/mathematical skills, strategic reasoning and the ability to thrive in a fast paced, stressful environment are a must. This individual must possess absolute integrity and trust in all facets of their role, and extensive interaction with senior level management is necessary.

 

Logistics Manager

The Logistics Manager is responsible for managing the efficient and productive operation of the facility’s on-site and off-site warehouse/storage needs; negotiating all 3rd party freight agreements; managing relationships with outside customer warehouse/transportation personnel; ensuring the efficient, accurate, timely, and cost effective movement of all finished goods transportation and warehousing.  They work with the plant management and other available resources to ensure adequate inventory levels are available to meet outbound shipping needs; support Sales Dept as needed with inventory level and aging information; coordinate shipping of products out of the warehouse to multi-site locations; prepare shipping and receiving documents for data entry into the department’s database; maintain required inventory, freight, and maintenance files for the warehouse; ensure accurate load out and documenting of shipped/pick up goods; maintain accurate inventory levels in the Warehouse, including performance of daily physical inventory checks.  They report to the Plant Manager.

 

 

 

 

 

Finance Director

The Finance Director oversees all Company accounting, finance and administrative functions.  They supervise the A/R, A/P personnel and ensure the accuracy of all financial transactions. They will develop, train and supervise all accounting and administrative personnel.  They must ensure that accounting procedures, internal controls (implementing monitoring, enhancing), and database management systems – ERP – are properly maintained and managed. They have ultimate responsibility for all customer invoicing and ensuring timely receipt of payments from Customers.  They are the primary contact with the Company’s lenders, third-party accounting company, payroll provider, retirement/benefits providers, and insurance company. Standard accounting and GAAP knowledge are required. The position reports directly to the CEO and will often interact with eh Company’s Board of Directors.

 

 

 

QA Manager

The Quality Assurance Manager provides leadership and direction to the QA/R&D organization in all major areas of responsibility including: Incoming raw material testing/monitoring; Finished product testing; Routine product monitoring; New product Development; and quality and new product strategic initiatives.  Experience working in a food manufacturing facility, as well as direct experience implementing and managing numerous facility audit and certification systems including SQF, Kosher, Organic are critical. This individual will be the primary point of contact for all State and Federal inspection agencies as well as key customers.  Responsible for building and managing a competent team and providing hands on management and development of Direct Reports. This individual is a key member of the management team and must possess significant technical skills and supervisory management experience. The position reports directly to the CEO.

 

Our plant is an efficient, state of the art, quality-driven, SQF facility in Naugatuck, CT. We produce our own brand, co-pack for a number of recognized national brands and produce private label products for some of the nation’s largest retailers. We also have a large cold storage facility that is managed on-site by a third party.
